Landra Johansen Adams, lately of Payson, Utah, was born on January 19, 1954 to
Niels LaVon and Carrie Mae Johansen. She died on December 29, 2019 from
complications of an infection. From the age of seven on she was raised by her
father and his wife Louise Roberts in Orem, Utah.

Landra was preceded in death by her father, LaVon, brothers Wendell Charles,
and Robert Neil Johansen, and her husband John H. (Jack) Adams. She is survived
by her son Tyler William Satchwell and his wife Clare of Carrollton Texas; mother
Louise Johansen Atwood of Elk Ridge, Utah; brother Michael Johansen (Lecia) of
Ninety-six, South Carolina; sisters Donna Kerr (Rick) of West Point, Utah, Christine
Johansen of Bremerton, Washington, and Marcia Vincent (David) of Elk Ridge,
Utah, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who she
took immense pleasure in spending time with.

Landra attended Orem Junior High and learned to play the Viola and the Piano
during that time. She was a wonderful pianist and brought pleasure to herself
and others through this talent. She attended Orem High School where she was a
member of the Madrigals, an acapella group. After graduation she attended LDS
Business College and later Ventura College where she studied English and Political

While attending LDS Business College she met and married Randy Satchwell and
subsequently gave birth to her son Tyler.

She lived in Ventura, California for many years where she worked as a
typographer and Labor Union President. She loved her role as she represented
her colleagues at Ventura College and strived to improve their lives.

When she returned to Utah she used her notably charming telephone voice to
become the top sales person at the company she worked for. She won many
prizes and incentives for her work, one of which was a trip to Disneyland which
she chose to share with her 13 year old niece.

Landra loved learning and returned to school again at The College of Pastoral
Supervision and Psychotherapy to become an Associate Clinical Chaplain in 2012.
She had a gift for comforting and serving people which brought her great joy. She
served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints as a Temple Worker,
Primary Worker, and in a Relief Society Presidency. She developed a strong
testimony and loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

During her final years she lived at Parkway Health in Payson where she often used
the skills she had developed as a chaplain to alleviate the challenges of those she
lived with. She started a book club at that time and would read aloud to her
friends and neighbors. She will be missed by many.

Providing service to those around her was an innate part of this beautiful woman.
Landra made many friends through her efforts and treasured their
companionship. She was intelligent, kind, well read, articulate, and enjoyed a
good discussion. She delighted in family events and thoroughly enjoyed a good

We invite you to celebrate her life with us on Saturday January 4, 2020 at the LDS
Chapel at 259 E. Alpine Drive, Elk Ridge, Utah. At 11 am family and friends will
gather for visiting and reminiscing in the Relief Society Room. The memorial
service will start at noon in the chapel. A luncheon will be served immediately
after where we plan to have one last party in her honor.

Landra was my friend. She and I worked together at Five Star Franchising for about 4 years. Landra was a bright spot that I always looked forward to each day. She was kind and gentle, very empathetic and aware of the feelings of others. We had several nice conversations. I missed her greatly when she left her employment here at Pronexis. I will continue to miss her until we meet again. A day I will look forward to.

Thank you for sharing her with me.

I worked with Landra at ParentLink. She always had a happy smile and wonderful disposition. As well as being a co-worker, she was also a friend. I know she had lots of friends because she was a lovely person to be around and to talk with. Sincere sympathy to the family.

I didn't know Leandra that well, but when she worked at the bar,I would take a break from work I would take a break from work and go visit with her. I got to know her better and we had some great conversation, and I really enjoyed talking to her. I'm truly sorry that she left us and I'm sending my love to the family. Vicky
